The following Letter to the Editor appeared in the Utica Observer Dispatch on July 9, 2010. Our staff here at LeonKoziol.com wanted to pass this along since we couldn’t have said it much better ourselves. Well spoken Mr. Cross!

The following is a comment made by then-Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev to former Secretary of Agriculture Ezra Taft Benson more than four decades ago: “You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright; but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find that you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy, until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.”

What plans for the U.S. did the Communist Party USA have back in the 1960s?

Infiltrate and gain control of more unions, big business, discredit the family as an institution, encourage promiscuity and easy divorce, capture one or both of the political parties in the United States, eliminate prayer or any phrase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state” … does any of this sound familiar yet?

The U.S. was founded as a nation of laws, but today those laws are being ignored in favor of the ideologies of men. The Founders knew that as long as the people were aware of their rights under the Constitution, freedom would endure. Many Americans have become aware of these facts and have re-acquainted themselves with our Constitution and how it is currently under assault.
