FROM PETER IN SARASOTA, FLORIDA
Leon, what you describe in trying to right the numerous wrongs, but more specifically, the issues concerning matrimonial and family court practice and procedures in general, is precisely why I quit the practice in marital and family related matters back in the 1990’s.
Frustrating, infuriating, quixotic, maddening, are a few adjectives that come to mind. It became intolerable for me in my endeavors to represent my clients fully…and even more intolerable was the fact that I could not explain in any meaningful way how or why the scales were (are) so lopsidedly tipped in one direction…other than to parrot the cliches, “this is how it is…these are the rules…the legislature needs to change the law…and other BS phrases of no real consequence.
I admire your tenacity. I wish you the very best.

FROM MICHAEL IN RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA
Attorney Koziol, as a former police commissioner, I am saddened that I can no longer retain you as the highly skilled advocate whose rapid-fire cross-examinations still resonate in my memory. Keep up the crusade for justice. Although I am grateful to finally be out of these corrupt family courts, your mission must live on.
