Parenting Rights Institute

If you are one of our thousands of followers globally, you know that the Parenting Rights Institute (PRI) has become a quasi-political action group in addition to a provider of vital services and information products to moms and dads in our nation’s divorce and family courts. From video documentaries to book publishing to court monitoring and professional reports, we have dispatched our expertise to communities across the country.

Now we are taking our successes to the next level with a business plan to generate donors and investors to our enterprise. In a recent post we have you an early look at our opening statement. Here we provide our Executive Summary. You need to be a part of it by sharing this post with a p[otential contributor you may know and donating personally here at Leon Koziol.com. Call our office at (315) 380-3420 for a copy of the full report (serious productive requests only).

                                                                Executive Summary

Parenting Rights Institute was founded in 2010 as a parental advocacy group and converted into a business enterprise in March, 2012. It has seized upon a growing market of divorce and family court victims with unfilled needs such as lawyer and judge accountability. In virtually all states, judicial commissions and bar associations have failed in their self-regulatory duties. In 2016, for example, both New York and California reported that over 90% of complaints were never even investigated. PRI has therefore become a private “Judicial Watch” for domestic relations courts.

Beyond that, a secondary market has arisen for parents seeking periodic professional assistance as self-represented parties. In addition, a high demand has been verified for represented litigants to obtain independent and qualified assessments of divorce, custody and support cases by parent advocates removed from the influences of jurists, politics, bar associations and media. PRI has responded with such unconventional offerings as video documentaries for misconduct victims in targeted courts. We have authored books, submitted reports to oversight committees, supplied creative solutions to complex issues, formulated a Court Strategy Program ©, and provided interactive seminars. This niche has attracted a worldwide subscription base on three websites.

Due to its many reform activities, PRI has secured valuable contacts across the country. From victimized parents to network advocates, a ready base of volunteers exists to exploit an untapped revenue potential while advancing long overdue reforms to a divorce and family court industry that is harming businesses, families and our moral fiber as a nation. A vast pool of human resources is available for various contract assignments that can greatly reduce overhead costs in the early months of strategic growth activity. Satellite offices are already being cultivated through advanced use of laptops, i-phones and other technical devices in a highly mobile society.

This Institute was conceived by an accomplished trial lawyer with management experience in a Fortune 500 firm. Unlike other members of the bar, he is removed from influences that could otherwise compromise this bold project. Although the Institute has yet to file its first test case, Dr. Leon Koziol has filed many. His mixed results are remarkable given the lack of resources and compensated staff. Prior successes and a passion for justice verify a tremendous potential however. This is further verified by such overburdened enterprises as Judicial Watch, Human Rights Watch, Heritage Foundation and Amnesty International which are virtually inaccessible.

There is no comparable entity serving a quickly growing market for divorce and family court accountability. The “Custodial Institution of Childrearing,” as described elsewhere in this report is a trillion-dollar industry exploited by lawyers, psychiatrists, evaluators, counsellors, clerks, mediators, case workers, forensic experts and the latest addition styled as “divorce coaches.” Custody courts are now yielding controversy of unprecedented variety and intensity with victims prepared to sacrifice all their assets to achieve justice for their offspring. Donor funding and investments are consequently sought to satisfy this demand without the exploitation. A 2017 goal of raising between three and five million dollars has been set. Tentatively we are committed to a main office in Manhattan to open the same year and a multi-tasking staff of qualified advocates.

Judicial commissions in virtually every state are overlooking vast numbers of misconduct complaints. Recent reports in New York and California show that well over 90% never reach the investigation stage, thereby encouraging corruption through impotence and effective ratification. It’s all window dressing and outright unconscionable especially when children are exploited for profit. These are our courts and we’re entitled to accountability.

When six years of complaints against multiple judges were ignored, civil rights advocate, Dr. Leon Koziol, declared enough was enough. No matter how much money this millionaire, Joseph Flihan, was flashing in front of gold-digger Kelly Hawse-Koziol, Leon’s daughters were not for sale. These judges had a duty to preserve genuine parent-child relationships after taking needless jurisdiction over them. A reckoning was now in order.

Family Judge Daniel “A-Okay” King of Lowville, New York was the final straw. A scheming ex-spouse swore under oath that she transmitted notice of residential relocation of Leon’s children to the millionaire’s home after concealing it on the family court record for eight months (discovered by the real dad on Fathers’ Day 2015). If you or I had done this, it would have yielded amber alerts and a contempt sentence. But Judge Dan King excused it and the New York Judicial Conduct Commission said it was “A-Okay.”

Well it’s not “A-Okay.” It’s parental alienation and father replacement of a psychotic dimension, immoral as Pinocchio’s nose is long. And it requires justice and a remedy even if the victims have to take matters into their own hands. These public servants are not above the law. Leon’s custody judge was removed from his case despite opposing lawyers’ claims of a reputation above reproach. One year later he was removed from the bench for admitting to sexual misconduct upon his five year old, handicapped niece. So a formal request was issued this week to U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara to investigate.

Since social media is doing little to leave the comfort of their keyboards to protest this growing epidemic, Dr. Koziol is reaching out to other impacted constituencies and prominent activists on all sides of the political spectrum to help the cause behind an anti-corruption rally at Lincoln Memorial on September 17, 2016 (and another one yet to be set in Utica, New York). A copy of Dr. Koziol’s formal request is reprinted below:

Re: Moreland Commission Testimony and Systemic Retaliation

Dear Mr.Bharara:

Like you, on Constitution Day, September 17, 2013, I testified before the Moreland Commission on Public Corruption. However my focus was on New York’s divorce and family courts. When I arrived in lower Manhattan at Pace University, I relied upon my First Amendment rights to expose judicial misconduct. But the retaliation, including that of the Judicial Conduct Commission, was relentless. Within four months my daughters were taken from me and within days of the premature dissolution of the Moreland Commission in March, 2014, a report was issued denying law license reinstatement after an orchestrated six month suspension. It was due, in part, to my testimony in your jurisdiction (appended to that report).

Accordingly I am asking your office to investigate violations that have long surpassed the civil stage, including RICO authority over relevant public servants in the state’s third branch of government. My testimony included fabricated college degrees used by a family judge to elevate child support in retribution for my valid complaints to that Judicial Commission also headquartered in your jurisdiction. That judge stepped down last month after a mandamus order was procured in New York Supreme Court resulting in removal of a six month gag order on my website.

The ethics lawyers engaged in the related witch hunt against me were terminated for falsifying time sheets without any public charges, ethical or criminal, ever brought against them. The corruption here is systemic, and the list goes on. It has no other logic than an orchestrated attack upon my public criticisms under the political influence of Fifth District Administrative Judge James Tormey, see i.e. Morin v Tormey, 626 F.3d 40 (2nd Cir. 2010)($600,000 recovery for chief family clerk for “political espionage” unlawfully directed against political adversary).

My ex-secretary was influenced by outsiders to tamper with mail, orchestrate ethics issues after 23 unblemished years as a civil rights attorney, and never prosecuted for stealing six figures despite a comprehensive report in 2012 replete with records and witness affidavits. She was recently convicted of forgeries after operating an illegal law practice upon later victims as predicted in my report. My saga reads like a John Grisham novel but it is real and horrific from a human rights standpoint.

I copied you on a June 23, 2016 letter to the heads of New York’s Judicial Conduct Commission and those public officials who, like the Moreland Commission, created it. A copy is attached. On June 17, 2016, I sponsored a news conference on the steps of the United States Supreme Court regarding a petition for writ docketed that day entitled Leon Koziol v United States District Court of NDNY, No. 15-1519. I was joined by a Florida doctor, California dentist and Virginia engineer also victimized by our nation’s family courts under Title IV-D of the Social Security Act, 42 USC 651 et. seq. Three days later a letter issued from the Commission exonerating my corrupt family judge against all logic other that judicial self-protection.

This is an extraordinary case because a judicial whistle blower is being subjected to a form of “judicial water boarding.” It requires resources which have been taken from me to achieve justice and correction. After my support and family judges were removed this month, their replacements mandated strict compliance and personal appearances in remote court rooms. This contrasts sharply with past practices to evidence clear targeting akin to the facts of Morin, supra. I have been helping many parent victims in Manhattan over the years including others who testified at Pace University. I would be happy to discuss the matter and share my evidence with any investigator or member of your staff.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Very truly yours,

Leon R. Koziol, J.D.

Free at Last, Free at Last, but not in Family Court!

Dr. Koziol visited the murder site of Walter Scott along with Al Sharpton and other civil rights leaders. This is one photo taken there and featured in earlier posts here at Leon Koziol.com.

By Dr. Leon R. Koziol

On this Martin Luther King Day, we join fellow Americans in paying tribute to our greatest civil rights leader. It’s hard to imagine in our lifetimes that a day existed when entire neighborhoods and school districts were segregated on account of race. As a free society we have come a long way indeed.

Unfortunately in family courts throughout the same land, we’ve gone in an opposite direction. This is an enclave in which equality has no meaning, civil rights are trampled upon and African-Americans are being slaughtered or imprisoned for money debts. A prime example is Walter Scott murdered this past year by a traffic cop in South Carolina while fleeing a child support warrant.

Family court has been described as a “constitution-free zone.” The state has found a mechanism for oppression by exploiting our children to raise revenues and fees on the backs of fathers who simply find themselves unable to meet expenses after taxes and child support are deducted from their paychecks.

And it’s not just minorities being imprisoned for these debts. Our military and law enforcement represent a growing constituency of victims. In upstate New York a police investigator committed a murder-suicide upon leaving support court leaving three children without parents and the city with a $2 million liability, see Pearce v Longo.

Fathers are still 85% of all child support payors and we have become the most imprisoned population in the free world. A trillion dollar industry has forced dedicated dads to be on a constant defensive in these courts. It’s long past a time when equality and civility are achieved in the places most trusted to protect our basic human rights.

Unfortunately that’s where the violations are still occurring. Family judges like Daniel King are the civil rights violators protected by absolute immunity. That’s also why we must act on our own. In coming days you will see our proposal for a major rally in our nation’s capital to make a real difference. We must make our grievances known during a key presidential election on Fathers’ Day week.

The time for talk and keyboarding is over. When a governor in Arizona can still make speeches replete with sexist slurs, dead beat dads (only) and feel no shame, fathers must take such public servants to task. We will not go quietly into the night while everyone else preaches equal rights at our expense. A new WordPress website sponsored by National League of Fathers Inc. has been established  and will be updated soon to promote this rally. 2015: What a Year at Leon Koziol. Com !

Happy-New-Year-2016-Images

Here it’s about action!

While most victims of court abuse talk and complain about their ordeals, here at Leon Koziol.com, we are doing something about it. We are entering our seventh year of advocacy for victimized moms and dads. And it’s been a wild ride.

A second professional evaluation was performed on our site in 2015 with great reviews and promising signs of growth. According to a year end report received on December 30th, a record number of visitors, over 23,000, was documented in 2015.

With newly applied initiatives such as regular news updates, upcoming book publications and political action in the 2016 elections we expect that number to grow virally and exponentially. Many thanks to all our followers who helped make this possible.

Ironically the single most viewed post was a gag order placed upon this site by a family judge, Daniel King, which is now being challenged in a higher court. This judge was widely criticized for imposing support orders upon his public critic, Dr. Leon Koziol, based upon fictitional college degrees before the Moreland Commission on Public Corruption. (Click Here to View Post)

As you can see we have not gone away. This is because the crucial and unprecedented work we do literally saved lives. This has been verified by the same year end report showing that followers have increased dramatically from countries as far away as Russia, Australia and Brazil. The largest number of visitors outside the states came from Canada and Great Britain.

The year began after Leon’s return from Paris where he met with human rights advocates to obtain international recognition of the abuses occurring in family courts that have been transformed into capitalist courts. Children have been turned into a trillion dollar industry while  our moral fiber has declined to an all time low. (Click Here to View Post)

In March Dr. Koziol spent a week in Nashville meeting with celebrity agents and free speech advocates in an effort to promote our parenting rights cause. Donations and investors were sought while reports were generated to demand long overdue reforms with a focus on shared parenting, draconian support collection practices and parental alienation atrocities. (Click Here to View Post)

These goals took on heightened attention when an unarmed father, Walter Scott, was murdered by a police officer in South Carolina while fleeing a support warrant during a traffic stop. Leon spent a week in Charleston addressing national media and meeting with civil rights advocates such as Al Sharpton and Attorney Malik Shabazz. (Click Here to View Post)

He followed with a major report submitted to the Justice Department. (Click Here to See This Report)

The year also featured book writing services for parents victimized in these courts. One court ordeal is expected to be published very soon on behalf of a mother who suffered through a 15 year ordeal that took her to numerous foreign countries as a fugitive from a corrupt family court system in Michigan. (Click Here to View Post)

A famous doctor secured Leon’s assistance and invited him to spend a week in Manhattan over the summer to study his divorce ordeal which cost him nearly $5 million in lawyer fees. A university professor nearby had vigorously fought alongside Leon at the Foley Square courthouses in New York City. (Click Here to See Post)

Leon gave interviews to Joseph Sorge and his widely acclaimed Divorce Corp movement to promote overdue reforms in these courts. In a further effort to suppress such reforms, Leon was again hauled before a “professional standards” committee to explain outcomes which he had no control over.

This all culminated in a rare disciplinary hearing made public at Leon’s request. It was covered  by Divorce Corp and featured a panel of judges called to task over the ethics lawyers engaged in the witch hunt against Leon who were fired by the same court for falsifying their time sheets. It resulted in a dismissal of the committee’s charges. (Click Here to Read Post)

In recent months the “war on parents” has reached climactic levels with a clash between First Amendment and family court gag orders disguised as protection devices. A self governing nation will not tolerate such oppression and deceit. Hence we are challenging such practices in a federal appeals court in Manhattan. We expect to reach the Supreme Court in 2016.

Such action on your behalf is not free. It takes massive resources, yet we continue to struggle with volunteers and few donors. You cannot imagine what it is like for a committed parental advocate to hear countless heart wrenching stories from all across the country without the means to assist and yet remain standing against all the severe retribution sustained as a consequence. Hopefully that will change with your help in 2016.

Happy New Year !

Civil Rights Advocate Leon Koziol Meets Al Sharpton at Site of Walter Scott Shooting.

Leon Koziol, J.D. and the Rev. Al Sharpton
Leon Koziol, J.D. and the Rev. Al Sharpton

Administrator’s note: Leon has been in Charleston, South Carolina seeking support for family court reform in light of the police shooting of an unarmed father fleeing an arrest for a child support warrant. We’ve shown you the video taken of this father shot five times in the back with no concern for his condition afterward. Leon traces the route of the same video taker at a vigil held today at the site of Walter Scott’s murder. The North Charleston police officer is in jail on murder charges. Here is what Leon reports from the vigil site.

I had an opportunity to chat with Al Sharpton today at the site of Walter Scott’s murder here in North Charleston. It was during a vigil ceremony with everything about the place coming across very surreal.

I have reviewed this travesty in my mind with horror, finding it hard to grasp that it was all caused by a child support warrant. Our government is actually killing fathers now for money. Of course we know that this cop who shot Walter Scott had to be deranged, but the fact is, that’s what happened here. Without the warrant, this killing would not have occurred.

I focused on the exact spot where Walter Scott fell in that video which continues to haunt me as a father myself. A collection of flowers marks the spot which might as well be sacred ground today. It should move all fathers to action. We cannot allow greed and money to be a cause for police force and debtor prisons. A planned rally on June 19th (fatherless day) at the Supreme Court should be everyone’s focus to secure respect and fair treatment in our family courts.

I retraced the route of this father fleeing yet another stint in prison for being a support debtor. I struggled with the sounds of eight gun shots, five which landed in the back and one through the heart. I examined the distance between the officer and the location where the victim fell. I recalled how the cop casually walked over and hand-cuffed the debtor as he took his final breath. The family court warrant had now been executed!

On the other side of a worn-out fence, I placed myself in the shoes of the video taker. I was amazed at how he had to be in the right place and the right time for justice to be served. Fortunately he had the courage and presence of mind to complete his vital mission under a profound fear of being shot himself.

Gradually the crowd and camera crews dissipated. I was among the last to leave when I noted a biker gang in an adjacent lot. Out of respect for the attendees, they waited patiently and largely unnoticed until the place was empty. Then they formed a loud circular procession in order to make their own statement, concluding with a united linear back-up to the vicinity where the cop committed his crime. I felt a bit like the video taker when I captured this scene from the other side of the fence.
